37 bands. Lots more solo guitar music and noise/drone this year. The latter was probably because Merzbow is A Big Deal (or so I'm told) and the former because I had low energy all weekend. I stand by my choices, though. *flops on ground* Festivals and conventions are intense, y'all. Hopefully I'll be fully recovered by tomorrow.

Picking a favorite is hard! Cian Nugent and Lady Lamb the Beekeeper (real name Aly Spaltro) were both charming & talented. High Highs are from Australia, so it was really cool to see them. The Breeders were having *so much* fun on stage. Like, I don't think their keyboardist stopped grinning the entire time. And then Mount Moriah is my favorite local band, and they got to play their entire (2 album) discography with a 7-piece band and were thrilled about it. *Hands* Too many choices! Um, possibly Lady Lamb? She's young and tiny and unassuming and then this voice just bursts out of her.
Least favorite was Pelt, not due to their music, but because they played one long song for the set and at least 10 minutes of that song hit a frequency that made my wrists and elbows ache unceasingly. It was the weirdest, most unpleasant musical experience I've ever had.

The Breeders were all so happy, it was great.
