I just watched an amazing, feature-length animated film by Nina Paley. You can read a review, go to her blog, or download or stream the movie yourself.

It's about Sita and Rama of the Ramayana, and it's about Nina and her husband. And their cat. And it's funny, slightly sad, and gorgeously animated.

I saw excerpts of this when she was still working on it, and it was amazing then. I think I downloaded it but haven't watched it yet... I need to get on that.

I didn't *mean* to watch all of it, I just wanted to watch enough to know if I should bookmark it. And then it was an hour and a half later, and I'd watched the whole thing. I started to download it so I could watch it on the plane, but the Sheffield internet connection is not quite up to me downloading entire movies.
